This morning we woke up to low clouds and on and off rain which is turning the dust at the airfield to mud. It is also downright cool which feels strange after a week of heat.
By the time we arrived at the field, the day cancellation had already been announced, so we didn't have to make a decision whether or not to prepare the gliders - just in case.
Since there was no task, the pilots' meeting was devoted to safety issues and organizational/technical stuff.Our pilots and crews used the time to set up some shade for the radio crew which will be essential when the heat returns.
We will be spending the day resting and sorting out some last minute technical problems.The outlook for Monday is more of the same but at this point Tuesday looks good.
