Monday, January 16 -- Mid-Afternoon Update

Our pilots are all on task, approaching or rounding the first turnpoint. Luke (2W) started at 13:34. Sergei (MS) unfortunately missed the start line and then got low which delayed his start to 13:55.
Dave (4D) started at 14:12 and Jerzy (XG) at 14:30.

You can follow the race live with a 15 minute delay by going into the contest website , selecting Live! and Tracking. This is what the picture looks like for the 18m Class:

We are expecting our 15m guys back between 6:30p and 7p.
Our 18m pilots should be back from their 500 k task between 6p and 7p, depending on what their average speed will be. In the moment we see speeds between 100 and 110 kph but this should improve as conditions are better around their second turnpoint. On the last leg they could have a slight tailwind component and will probably have 50 - 60km final glides, covering three kilometers every minute.
