Yesterday there was a bit of a shake-up in the scores as there were a number of outlandings. Several pilots dropped from the top by 20 places or more.
Our gliders are positioned on the grid with 18m in front, Open Class in the middle and 15m at the back of the grid. It is going to be a very hot day (high 30s / low 40s) so it is imperative that pilots and crews stay well hydrated. The tasks are long as well, with 18m on a Task 5hr Area Task and 15m on a 485 km Assigned Speed Task .
Some Open Class pilots complained that they have to average over 150 kph to complete their 747 km task.
